Abstract

This article describes the features of the dynamics of the bumper with permanent magnets. Pictures of the magnetic field in 3D are presented, transients are calculated. It is shown that operation of this system depends on the parameters of the magnets, body weight, amplitude, shape and frequency of oscillations. It is shown that operation of the system mainly depends on the damping force, which must be considerable. It is shown that the bumpers, built on the basis of permanent magnets with radial magnetization, require forced stabilization in the radial direction regardless of their number and spatial distribution.
