A problem of calculating capacity of cosine capacitors for individual compensation of reactive power in asynchronous electric drives in stationary and transient operation modes is considered. The algorithm introduced employs a high-adequacy mathematical model of asynchronous motor developed on the theory of representing vectors which takes into account both the magnetic core saturation and the current displacement in the rotor bars.
